When the FI and me registered, we had no intention of registering for china. The BBB salesperson talked us into it. I cared less about it, so I let FI flip through the book, told him to pick what he liked. Low and behold, my construction working, t-shirt wearing FI picked out one of the most expensive sets in the book. I looked at said:
Fi: Vera Wang, who??
Me: She's a very famous fashion designer, especially wedding dresses.
Fi: So why does she have china?
Me: Because she can.
We ended up registering for it that day and deleting online when we got home. I ended up getting my grandmothers china a few months later. I'd rather have something that has sentimental value anyway.
So Vera Wang has been the running joke of our wedding. He now talks about her like she is the "queen of weddings". If we don't get a cake server or toasting flutes at our shower, I plan on getting him these:

Did you get toasting flutes or cake servers at your shower? Did you already purchase them?
If so, any special significance to them?
